Band Saw
SAFETY INSTUCTIONS FOR THE BANDSAW
1. The saw guide must be within ΒΌ on of an inch of the stock to be cut or the thickness of your finger.

2. Fingers must not come closer than 2 inches to the blade.

3. Hands must not cross the saw line.

4. You should not stand on the right side of the machine when in use.

5. If you need to back out of a cut, you should turn the power off.

6. If you need to cut a sharp curve, you should first cut saw kerfs.

7. Never cut cylindrical stock on this machine.

8. Do not adjust the guide while the machine is on.

9. If the saw breaks while in use, immediately shut it off and tell the instructor.

10. Do not overcrowd the saw.

11. Do not reach around the saw to get work while it is running.

12. Clean the saw and the area around it when down of the large pieces.

13. A rhythmic click may indicate a cracked blade. Shut the machine off and tell the instructor.

14. Make sure wood is flat on the table when making a cut.
