Saber (Jig) Saw
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SABER SAW
1. Lay the saw down or hold in a safe secure position when plugging it in.
2. Always unplug the saw before making any adjustments on it.
3. Hold the saw shoe firmly and flat against the wood you are cutting.
4. The smallest radius you can cut must not be less than 3 times the width of the blade. If the saw chatters
& jumps when you are cutting a radius (circle), you are turning it too sharp.
5. Do not let the cord go under your wood and accidentally saw through it.
6. Pick up any big pieces that may have fallen on the floor.
7. Always check with the teacher when making any adjustments on the saw.
8. Do not hold the wood with your fingers underneath it. You may forget about them & cut them off.
9. Never talk to the operator while they are using the saw.
