I am Pamela Magistad (pronounced--Magi like magazine and st + add), and this is my first year at Lester Prairie Schools.
I grew up in Minnesota and earned my BA in literature at Hamline University. I began my teaching career in Las Vegas, NV, teaching sixth grade English (literature, writing, and grammar). From there, I lived in France and was a co-owner of a restaurant in Avignon, France. While living and working in France with limited French language skills, I became interested in teaching English as a second language and returned home to study English as a Second Language (ESL) at Hamline. I completed my ESL licensure coursework and earned my MAT, also from Hamline. I am licensed for K12 ESL in the state of Minnesota.
I live with my husband and two dogs in Chanhassen, MN.
I have also worked as a florist, a graphic designer, and a wedding photographer. I have designed two books for a friend who is an artist (painter).
I enjoy reading fiction and nonfiction, playing Sudoku, and researching ancestry. In the last couple years, I have become very interested in gardening and get a little better at it each year.
