Lester Prairie First Grade
The school year has quickly come to an end, with lots of smiling faces anticipating the joys of summer. There are also many sad faces realizing that routines are about to change and being together as a class each day won't happen in summer. We had a wonderful year together and the children grew in so many ways!
Research shows that the newly acquired skills first graders learn can be forgotten over the summer without reinforcement. It is my hope that you encourage your child to read, write, and work on math each week--have fun with it! It's also equally important for your child to get outside and play every day!!
In first grade we talked a lot about being grateful--for the big things and the little ones. I am truly grateful that I got to be your child's teacher this year. They will always hold a special place in my heart!
