How is a student selected for Title I?
We use a few sources of information to determine that a student could benefit from supplemental help in TItle I.
They include teacher recommendations and discussions at the monthly RTI(Response to Intervention) grade-level meetings, as well as STAR Reading and Math Assessments. The Title I Teacher makes the final determination of whether the student will be scheduled for help, but their decision is made by trying to balance all available information, not just basing it on one "snapshot" of information given by one assessment. |
